Luxembourg participation in Learning & Knowledge Week at Expo2020

This week marked yet another successful set of events at the #Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo2020 during which Luxembourg manifested its strong desire to be a driving force in the advancement of educational technologies (#EdTech) and cybersecurity around the globe.

In the context of Knowledge and Learning week @expo2020dubai, Luxembourgish firms LuxAi1 (@LuxAI_SA) and magrid.lu2 (@LearningMagrid) participated in the #RewirEd summit and put their groundbreaking inclusive learning technologies on display. In the Luxembourg Pavilion, they were joined by researchers3 from the University of Luxembourg (@uni_lu) who likewise presented their innovative projects aimed at reshaping present-day math education, as to carry it into the digital future and render it more appealing and accessible to all.

Alongside these workshops, representatives from the Luxembourgish Ministry for Education and Youth (MENJ) organized various game sessions to indulge visitors of all ages in a fun and playful introduction to coding. Luxembourg puts a heavy emphasis on equipping its students with the necessary qualifications for the digital challenges and opportunities they are going to meet in the future.

However, with the rapid development of these smart educational technologies and the simultaneous shift towards a more digitalized economy, the need for a secure and reliable digital infrastructure could not be greater. The trusted Luxembourgish #cybersecurity agency securitymadein.lu has long identified this pressing issue and therefore organized a compelling live-workshop at the Luxembourgish Pavilion, in which participants were virtually put in charge of responding to a cyberattack. The specifically developed simulation and training environment ‑ Room42 ‑ conveying to the participants the necessity of adequate workforce training to prepare for a possible cyber-emergency.

Next up @LUexpo2020dubai is Travel & Connectivity Week in January (9.-15.) where more digital innovation #madeinluxembourg will be presented to the public.
